Tees for Trees
Clothing company Holiday Matinee is showing their love for the environment by launching a line of totally organic and tag free tee shirts. They're also donating all proceeds to the environmental organization Plant-It 2020. With every tee purchased twenty trees will be planted, maintained, and protected. At $20 a shirt it equals just $1 a tree, which is a small price to pay for clean air and a reduced carbon footprint, not to mention supporting a local artist. These tees can be purchased for just $20 at http://supermarkethq.com/designer/15255/collection/1386. Cheap, eco-friendly and fashionable? What more can you ask for?

Quote of the Day
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself. And sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together" -Marilyn Monroe

Gossip Girl Line: Jenny Humphrey
*Click the picture to enlarge*
I'm a bit dissapointed with the Jenny line. I can understand the attempt to capture her rocker chic look but that's all it was. An attempt. The destroyed punk look just ended up looking trashy and homeless. Anna Sui could of done sooo much better. So close, but so far. It gets a 5.5

Trouble
The artist is Christofer Drew, but he goes by the name Nevershoutnever. The song, Trouble, is pretty amazing and he's insanely adorable. More guys should be like this.

Boyfriend Jeans
I am soooo loving this trend right now. But one wrong move and they can either be fashionable or a complete faux paus. Boyfriend jeans DO NOT look good on everyone! But if you do wear them I recommend getting distressed ones and wearing it with a floral tank and gladiator heels. Like this outfit:

Chanel Fall 2009 Collection
Karl mixed things up this season by throwing in mint green and baby pink pieces to a mostly black and white collection. They will no doubt be the "it colors" for the fall 2009 season.
In the beginning of the show the outfits were classic prep in black and white. The ruffles were very Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl-esque.
Then as the show progresses mint green accesories start to show up against black pieces untill we finally get a few fully mint green outfits.
Then come black outfits against baby pink tights, hats and others accesories.
Now comes one of my favorite parts of the show. The outfits become black and white again, but this time we see skin tight bodysuits in geometric shapes.
The final outfits of the show are floor length skirts and dresses.
At the end of the show Karl Lagerfeld comes out in his signature look, fierce as always. This show earns a 9.5. He's doing a great job as creative director and if Coco were alive she'd no doubt be proud.

Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 Collection
As usual Marc didn't dissapoint with his Fall 2009 line. He offered a wide array of trends to follow;; but each simple enough so as to allow room to incorporate them with your own individual style.
Clutches, Tights, & Ankle Boots were seen all thruout the show. Full ballet skirts, belted high-waisted skirts, belted dresses, bright colored overcoats, and light-weight scarves were also frequently seen.
The simple yet chic theme of the Fall 2009 Collection earns a solid 9.3. Once again Marc Jacobs came out on top over most of the lines this season.
*Chanel Iman also walked in this show<3
